BH Global annual ‘Back to School’ event was held at both Jurong Spring CC and Taman Jurong CC in Singapore on the 10th and 17th December respectively. We hope to continue our tradition of giving back to society by helping underprivileged students. We believe that every student deserves the basic necessity of school supplies, regardless of financial background.

This year, across the two locations, we have given out more than 220 sets of stationeries, including bags, files and writing materials to aid students to kickstart their new school year.

We would also like to extend our appreciations to MP – Shawn Huang and CCC Chairman – Ng Kwan Meng for gracing the event at the Jurong Spring CC and Taman Jurong CC respectively.

We hope this gesture would bring a smile onto their faces and we wish them all the best in their education.

CIO is proud to unveil the expanded CIO100 in 2022, recognising the top 100 senior technology executives driving innovation, strengthening resiliency, and influencing rapid change across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

Winners were unveiled during an in-person awards ceremony at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, housing more than 200 executives from all key markets across ASEAN, Hong Kong and the wider region.

The awards registered a record year in 2022 with more than 280 nominations submitted, over 20 industry sectors on show and eight markets represented – spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Myanmar.

In 2022, CIO100 was judged on the core pillars of Innovation and Leadership, honouring transformational, inspiring, and enduring CIOs at both in-country and regional levels.

All entries were reviewed by a select and independent CIO100 judging panel, who rated each section of the questionnaire to determine the final list. The most powerful nominations provided real-world examples of where technology and digital chiefs are successfully providing value to organisations, driving innovation and leading teams.

We are pleased to announce that Ken Soh, CEO of Athena Dynamics, was awarded Best CISO at the AVAR Awards ceremony held on the 1st and 2nd December. Ewen Lim, Regional VP of Business Development, and Zan Lim, Assist VP of Business Development, were present to receive the award on behalf of Mr. Soh.

AVAR (Association of anti Virus Asia Researchers) hosted its annual conference in the physical format this year after 2 virtual editions. AVAR 2022 was held on 1st and 2nd December in Singapore. ‘Cybersecurity Counter Punch’ is the theme of this year’s conference which was the 25th edition of this international event. The AVAR conference is one of the most anticipated cybersecurity events of the year and presents an unrivalled opportunity to access an audience of CEOs, CTOs, CSOs/CISOs, Security Heads, Threat Intelligence Heads, Researchers, Regulators, and Law Enforcement Agencies.
