BH Global Corporation Ltd has been featured in the UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) “Leaders in Action on Decarbonisation” spotlight, highlighting the Group’s approach to carbon management and its ongoing efforts to achieve measurable progress in decarbonisation.

The case study, titled “How BH Global Corporation Delivers Measurable Decarbonisation under Real-World Constraints”, provides an overview of the Group’s sustainability journey, including the processes adopted to measure greenhouse gas emissions and the practical initiatives undertaken to reduce emissions across its operations.

Carbon management at BH Global is supported by the systematic collection and monitoring of operational data. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions are assessed based on activities including diesel consumption from the Group’s vehicle fleet and electricity consumption from the grid. Relevant emission factors are applied to these activity data to establish emissions baselines and enable year-on-year performance to be monitored.

Beyond emissions measurement, a range of operational initiatives has been implemented to support emissions reduction and resource efficiency. These include the deployment of solar photovoltaic systems, LED retrofits, energy-efficient equipment, route optimisation, on-site refuelling, employee shuttle services and strengthened utilities monitoring.

The decarbonisation journey has also highlighted the importance of robust data management, governance and continuous improvement, particularly within a diversified Group comprising businesses of varying sizes, operational scopes and levels of sustainability maturity.

BH Global’s efforts have been recognised through consecutive LowCarbonSG Awards in 2024 and 2025. The UNGCNS case study further highlights how practical operational improvements, supported by stronger data and governance practices, can contribute to sustained emissions reduction within a complex industrial and maritime operating environment.

19 August 2026 – Athena Dynamics Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of BH Global Corporation Ltd, joined Singapore Polytechnic (SP) leadership and industry partners on 19 August 2026 for the launch of CASTLE (Cybersecurity Assessment and Security Operations Centre Training Lab for Enterprises), a new initiative to strengthen cybersecurity among Singapore’s SMEs while giving students real-world industry experience.

The event was graced by Acting Minister for Manpower Ms Jasmin Lau, alongside SP Deputy Principal Ms Tan Yen Yen, ST Engineering’s Mr Lim Meng Hwee, and OffSec’s Mr David Zhao.

With CASTLE, SP became the first tertiary institution in Singapore licensed to offer penetration testing services to SMEs, helping companies uncover security gaps before they can be exploited. The service will be free for most SMEs, with a security operations centre also set up alongside ST Engineering to give students hands-on experience responding to live cyber threats.

As a supporting industry partner, Athena Dynamics has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SP to build curriculum capabilities in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cybersecurity, an area of growing importance as Singapore strengthens the resilience of its critical infrastructure. The partnership will give students greater exposure to cybersecurity practices in industrial and operational environments across sectors such as energy, water, and manufacturing.

Liew Chin Chuan, Director of SP’s School of Computing, noted that many SMEs lack the budget or expertise to defend against cyberthreats, and that the new licence lets the polytechnic give students authentic industry experience while helping real businesses.

The initiative comes as Singapore faces a persistent cybersecurity talent shortage, with a 2024 ISC2 report citing a gap of over 4,000 professionals. CASTLE is expected to benefit more than 540 students annually, with all 15 of SP’s cybersecurity faculty certified to deliver its services by end-2027.

​With over two decades of dedicated experience in the marine industry, Mr Yeo has built a strong track record in setting up regional operational hubs, guiding high-performing cross-cultural teams, and optimizing distribution channels across the Asia-Pacific region. He previously held senior leadership positions at Navico Group and Raymarine. 

​He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
