Singapore, 26 March 2026– Bureau Veritas, Beng Hui Marine Electrical Pte Ltd, and Penguin International Limited today formalised a strategic collaboration at Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) 2026, marking a significant step forward in the advancement of power management and digital monitoring solutions for the marine industry.
The signing ceremony, held at the BH Global booth, marked the debut of Bureau Veritas’ Type-Approved PWR+ Power Management and Digital Monitoring System on Penguin International’s new series of compact crewboats for the oil and gas industry.
This tripartite collaboration brings together the expertise of a classification society, marine electrical systems integrator, and shipbuilder to support the integration, certification, and deployment of advanced power management and digital monitoring technologies in next-generation vessels.
Driving Innovation Through Collaboration
Under this agreement, the parties will work closely to explore the installation and application of the PWR+ system on the compact crewboats designed and built by Penguin International.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, system visibility, and performance optimisation, while ensuring compliance with established classification standards.
Advancing Digitalisation in Marine Electrical Systems
The collaboration underscores the growing importance of digitalisation and intelligent energy management in the maritime sector, particularly for vessels operating in demanding environments such as the oil and gas industry. By combining strengths across classification, system integration, and shipbuilding, the parties aim to demonstrate how collaboration, innovation, and technology can collectively uplift industry standards and accelerate the adoption of digitally enabled marine solutions.
