Role Summary

The Pre-sale Engineer serves as the vital link between the technical expertise of the company and the needs of the customers. You will leverage your deep understanding of our cyber protection propositions and industry trends to provide customized technical recommendations, conduct persuasive product demonstrations, and guide customers through the sales process.

By combining your technical proficiency with exceptional communication and sales skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that address customer challenges, drive revenue growth, and foster long-term customer success. Your role will be instrumental in building strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and fueling the growth and market of especially the Binalyze Digital Forensic and Incident Response (DFIR) platform.

Responsibilities

  • Development and delivery of technical product (software) demonstrations and presentations
  • Determine the technical requirements to meet client goals and act as liaison between the organization’s sales/business development and engineering groups.
  • Understand client business requirements, issues, and priorities, and develop a solution that advances client business strategy.
  • Conducting one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using Binalyze.
  • Assist in sales pipeline building activities including attendance at live and/or virtual tradeshows and industry conferences, working with marketing / partners on webinars, events, and other activities specified by sales and sales engineering management
  • Respond to requests for information or requests for proposals from customers, supplying the technical details of proposed solutions.
  • Providing pre and post sales technical support for engagements.
  • Working with customers on feedback and strategy to complete projects that optimize client organization and overall technology direction.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for operational readiness.
  • Assist Sales Teams in creating product-related pre-sales materials by providing customer perspective.
  • Provide Proof-of-Concept (POC) environment and advising on design and implementation approaches to assess the feasibility of solutions and demonstrate to our clients how the product can be leveraged.
  • To create and manage the POC/Trial process to ensure strong customer interaction during POC, and a positive outcome.
  • Assist in pricing and proposal development.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for operational readiness.
  • Solve business needs with technology by evaluating different technology options and vendor products.
  • Coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferably a Degree in ICT or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with information security solutions.
  • A natural presenter with good negotiation skills.
  • Professional certifications in cyber or network security related disciplines are advantageous.
  • Experience in a similar, pre-sales or customer facing consulting role within a technology (preferably cyber) based organization.
  • Experience communicating deeply technical concepts in an impactful way.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision.

5.     Relationship building: Able to build and nurture relationships with customers. Strong interpersonal skills, customer-oriented, and able to establish trust and credibility with customers which includes active listening, empathy, and responsiveness to customer inquiries and concerns.

6.     Technical troubleshooting: Able to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Troubleshooting skills to identify the root cause of problems and work collaboratively with internal technical teams to address customer concerns effectively.

7.     Collaboration and teamwork: The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive successful sales outcomes.
